At Zion Elementary School District 6, we understand how important it is to feel prepared for school. Today, we are glad to have made a contribution to a most worthy cause. Melissa Cisneros, Volunteer/In-Kind Donation Specialist at A Safe Place was here to collect donated gifts of School Ready kits, age appropriate reading materials, and clothing for children and families. According to A Safe Place, 6,223 nights of emergency shelter have been provided to 220 victims and their children. We would like to thank A Safe Place for the vital services their organization provides for our community. We hope that such a donation will help children and families, who suffer from a series of unfortunate events, feel more prepared and ready for the new school year.
