Student/Special Services team and Superintendent, Dr. Keely Roberts, hold up donated coats.

Zion Elementary School District 6 has received a generous donation of 150 coats from the Rotary Club of Illinois Beach Sunrise/Operation Warm. The rotary has worked with Operation Warm to help provide new coats to children in the Zion, Beach Park, and Winthrop Harbor school districts. Operation Warm manufactures these coats with the strictest standards to ensure that kids love the way they look and feel, while keeping them warm and protected throughout the year. District 6 is always looking for ways to further aide in the care and protection of their students. With the harsh weather ahead, the coats provided to District 6 students will help keep them protected as each coat is made with a fleece lining and water repellent exterior. District 6 extends the heartiest thank you to the Rotary Club of Illinois Beach Sunrise and Operation Warm for all they have done from their students.

If you would like to make a donation to Operation Warm and help more children in the surrounding area stay warm, go to for more information.
